Sarah Sunday!

Sarah update: So, this week went by fast, as always. Monday was my birthday – woo-hoo! I have to say, turning 25 is cool and all, except I still feel about 20. Which I guess is a good thing – hopefully I still feel that way in like ten years, right?

Soooo, on Monday the honeyman took me to a SPA as my b-day present. It was AWESOME. I got a pedicure, a massage, and an express facial, all over the course of about two hours or so. I’ve never had any of that stuff done before, and it was so, so, so awesome. Leaving I literally felt like a NICER person. Can you imagine a world in which I felt all nice towards people all the time? Neither can I, but it was a nice feeling for the day. I think my favorite was the facial, cause she massaged my scalp and I love love love scalp massages. And I really liked the pedicure. The massage was nice, but it was a little hard for me to relax since I was all top-naked and had never had a massage done by a professional before. Anyways, it was amazing and I could totally get used to surprises like that :-) The honeyman is a wonderful man. We also went shopping so I could use some gift cards and coupons I had, and then we went to dinner at Longhorn, and then we came home to watch two episodes of Whitney. It was an awesome night.

Tuesday I did some more shopping and errands, and then we went out for my birthday dinner with our friends at Red Lobster, and my friend Doni made me a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I just love how me celebrating stuff usually equals a lot of food. Wednesday was a nice, relaxing day at home – I did laundry, sewed a bit, caught up on tv shows on Hulu, read my book, etc.

Work this week has been so-so: Thursday I was all rage-y and hostile cause it was super busy and UGH. Friday I was much more relaxed, and of course weekends are often a piece of cake and I just sit around and watch Charmed and read. OH and on Friday I FINALLY successfully bought a new purse and wallet. It took going to like 9 stores and then finally going back to one of them, and then buying two purses because I couldn’t decide. My new wallet is SUPER-pretty – it’s dark brown leather embossed with pretty designs and I got it like 40% off. And I got a dark tan soft leather purse, that isn’t QUITE has big as I wanted (I was aiming for like tote bag size), but it has lots of awesome pockets on the outside. I’m going to return the other purse, because even though I like the color it doesn’t have any outside pockets and that’s just plain silly. So yay, SUCCESS!

Also, I cooked scallops for the first time last night. And I have to say while they weren’t amazing, they were still pretty good and I didn’t over cook them, so I feel good about that too. I wish they weren’t like $20 a pound, or I’d make them so much more often.

Bookish update: I finished The Hunger Games Companion this week, which was disappointing (see post before this one for the review, I’m too lazy to link). I’ve also started reading the fourth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Feast for Crows. I’m about half-way through it now, and I’m hoping to get 200 – 300 more pages read today. It’s probably my least favorite of the series so far, but that’s because G.R.R.M. decided to put half the characters in this one, and half the charaters in the next book A Dance With Dragons, and AFFC is full of characters I don’t care about too much. Also, I’m going to have to read ADWD within the next month or two so the whole story stays fresh in my mind, cause I was a little lost coming back to the series after such a long time since reading the third book.

I have a couple books I’m really looking forward to reading next, including what appears to be a very silly historical romance I picked up at Wegmans the other day by an author I’ve never heard of before. I hope it’s good.

OK so I think that’s it for me folks! Sorry there’s no pictures today… I know you love the pictures. But I’m lazy and not on my own computer, so ya know. Hope everybody has a great week!!!
