Sarah Sunday

Good morning!

I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of things, blogging-wise, so I decided I wanted to bring Sarah Sunday back. But I also didn’t want the Sarah Sunday posts to be long and drawn out like before, so Jenn at The Relentless Reader kindly let me borrow her survey-ish format from her weekly update posts. (Thanks lady! xo)

Reading: Catching up on comics, and might start a book on my Kindle today… but I’m not sure which one.

Watching: The honeyman and I have been re-watching The Office and we’re almost done with it – it’s just not as good without Michael Scott. Also kind of re-watching season 2 of Daredevil because our friends haven’t seen it yet and they don’t have the internet/Netflix. I also watched Mad Max: Fury Road recently which was fun and ridiculous, and Empire Records because I hadn’t seen it before and didn’t know what the hell “It’s Rex Manning Day” meant – it was goofy and dramatic, like most 90’s teenager movies are.

Listening: To Hamilton, basically always. And also to The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes. I’m almost done with that though, anyone have any good audiobook recs? Audible is having a half-off sale today, sooo…

Eating: Nothing at the moment, sadly. But for the past couple of weeks I’ve been bringing big salads to work for lunch and it’s been awesome – romaine lettuce, baby spinach, torn up broccoli and cauliflower, grape tomatoes, and artichoke hearts. YUM.

Blogging: I’ve been doing it! High-five, self! And I have to write a review/post for Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson today.

Thinking: About how I’m really sad it’s Sunday and I’m so not ready for the work week to come again. And wondering when the honeyman is going to wake up because we said we would go to the gym and man that’d be nice if it was true for once. But also kind of hoping that we don’t go. I know, it’s complicated.

Anticipating: The readathon. I know it’s still two weeks away, but man I need a good readathon!

  1. I love pictures of Gabby – such a sweet face. Yay for getting your blogging mojo back! I love this format, too.
I miss the old Office episodes. They don’t even show re-runs on tv anymore, and I’m too cheap to get Netflix or any of those other programs. I know…I need to get with the times.
    I wasn’t ready for Monday. Not.at.all.

  2. I’m buying Hamiltome for my mother today! Woooo! I hope she likes it — I think she was not that thrilled with the notion of it, but she always likes things better once they are real and not abstract. And I was reading a new YA trilogy but now that I’m a third of the way through the second one, I realize that my library doesn’t have the third one yet. Eek! What will I dooooooo.

    1. I very very rarely buy like companion books to TV shows or anything like that – but the Hamiltome is different. I’ve been seeing pictures of the inside on Instagram and ahhhh it looks gorgeous! I bet your mom will end up loving it.
