Sarah Sunday, on a Monday

My new Premier Designs necklace, Gabby in a cupboard, and Instagram photo-a-days I’m thinking about doing next month…

Good morning 🙂

Last week was completely busy, especially at work, and this weekend I did not get to relax. Boooooooo. I visited my Dad on Saturday morning, and that threw off my whole weekend because then I had less time to do all my errands and whatnot. And yesterday I didn’t go workout like I have been on Sundays, I had to do things, and I didn’t get to read as much as I wanted, and then I went to a jewelry party. Admittedly, the jewelry party was fun and I’m really excited for my necklace to come in, but jewelry party means interacting with PEOPLE, which is not what I like to do on Sundays. Unless it’s talking to the pizza place to order dinner.

Also, I ate like a thousand jalapeno poppers last night but decided to skip the gym this morning so that I could catch up on internet things. Tsk tsk, Sarah.

OH and I watched another movie on Saturday night! Olympus Has Fallen, which the honeyman really really wanted me to see and for an action movie, was pretty good. And it has Gerard Butler in it. And that makes THREE movies I’ve seen this year so far. It would be four because we watched Much Ado About Nothing (Joss Whedon version!) on Friday night, but it was really late and I was really tired and I definitely dozed off near the end, so that doesn’t count. Still, I’m killing it with this 52-movies-in-2014 thing.

I finished Packing for Mars and The Bluest Eye last week, and now I’m reading Fool by Christopher Moore (pretty great so far) and Bleak House by Charles Dickens. I’ve only really read the first chapter of Bleak House so far and have no idea what the hell is going on. I have a feeling Sparknotes will be my friend for this readalong. But readalong peeps, note – you can get Bleak House emailed to you in installments from Daily Lit, or you can read it online at this site. Just you know, in case you’re in front of a computer and would rather be reading that. Or reading while you check your email on your phone. Or you could just read the paper copy or on your Kindle, which I’m sure are the main choices.

And now I’m off to try to catch up on a bit of commenting before I drag myself into work. How was your weekend? Do anything fun? Everyone hope that Monday doesn’t totally suck today, okay? Okay.

  1. Olympus Has Fallen = the one with Denzel Washington in it? Or is that the other White House under attack movie that came out last year?

My weekend was GREAT because we had snow and freezing rain and ice on Friday and they canceled work because Louisiana never gets that kind of weather, and we don’t have the infrastructure to manage icy roads. IT WAS GREAT. I watched Nikita on Netflix all day.

    1. Not the Denzel one – this one had Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman in it. There has been a LOT of White House attack movies lately, hasn’t there? There was one with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx recently too…. I feel like this is a really weird trend.

DAMN I would love to live somewhere that hardly ever gets snow, so that if there IS snow, it’s a big deal and work is cancelled. In NY it’s like “3 feet of snow? Psssshh better just leave your house earlier.”

  3. I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of interacting with people on Sundays either, which are my designated relaxing/catching up time. I’m dreading the busy weekends and influx of visitors once the baby is born.

A jewellery party sounds like fun though!

  4. Haha look at Gabby there – if that jar next to her would say “Fluffy” it’d be especially appropriate.

I’ve wanted to do those photo-a-days too, but I don’t use Instagram, so that sucks a bit. But I think it’s such a great idea.
