I’m SO tired right now, you guys. You don’t even know.
So this week was the end of my vacation, and honestly it wasn’t the best. I felt like I was fighting a cold the whole time because I was REALLY exhausted most days. There was a lot of sleeping on the couch. Gabby had a kitty cold too, so she was kind of sleepy and sneezing all over the place (I think she’s getting over that now, thank goodness). On the plus side, most nights were lazy and the honeyman and I finished season 3 of Breaking Bad. I’m kind of sad to start season 4 soon 😦 I don’t want to be caught up. Well, as caught up as I can be until season 5 is available on Netflix.
My little sis Amanda turned 23, and her baby L turned 2! There was a party Wednesday night, that was a good time mainly because there was a lot of really good food. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures from that day yet… I need to see if my mom or sister can text any to me.
And the big reason why I’m so tired today – yesterday was the Tough Mudder! The honeyman and his friend had signed up, but then his friend got hurt and wasn’t sure if he could go, so I asked work if I could take a half day yesterday so I could at least go as a spectator. After some confusion and an unfortunate moment when I thought I wouldn’t be able to go because no one showed up to relieve me from work, it all worked out. (And it’s a good thing I went, because his friend sucks at navigating and immediately got us on the wrong expressway and we had to turn around. I would have noticed sooner, but I was in the backseat organizing the backpack I was going to be carrying.)
Being a spectator, I pretty much walked around for about 5 hours and watched whatever obstacles were on the “spectator route”. I’d get to one of the obstacles, wait till my guys got there and accomplished it, and then repeat. And it was pretty fun and I got to take some pictures (all of which are still on my camera at the moment), but the downside is that I never thought to check the weather before we left, and halfway through the day it started raining, and by the end it was pouring so hard I couldn’t take any pictures for the last two obstacles. It was a lot of fun though and the honeyman is definitely proud of himself for making it through the whole thing, so yay! And after seeing it in person, I am confident that I might never sign up for the Tough Mudder. I’m sure I could make it through, IF I knew how to swim, which I don’t. So there’s that. Anyways, that 6 hours we spent there plus about 4 hours of total driving means that I was pretty tired when we got home, and I only got about 3 hours of sleep before coming back into work. Thank goodness for energy drinks and Cougar Town season 3.
Bookish update: It was not a good reading week. I only finished Habibi, and A Lesson Before Dying. I’m currently reading Death By Black Hole (which so far is not as entertaining as Tyson’s Space Chronicles book), and Feynman, a graphic novel about Richard Feynman’s life. I’m really just hoping to finish those two by Wednesday. With the amount of cleaning and laundry and gyn-catch-up I have ahead of me in the next couple days, I don’t know if that’s going to happen but I’m going to try.
Alright you guys, I’m off to try to catch up blog-reading and time-killing until I can go home and take a long nap. How’s your weekend going?
