Readathon! Half-way point!

IT Crowd clapping

Holy moly, we made it half-way! How the time flies when you’re having fun!

So updates, yes?

  • Finished Holes
  • Started Something Rotten by Jasper Fforde
  • Read 149 more pages, which puts me at 431 pages so far today.
  • Ate SO MANY jalapeno poppers. SO MANY.
  • Went for a walk around the neighborhood with the honeyman.
  • Took a bath in which I read and drank wine, which was super awesome.

Sadly, didn’t get the chance to join in on any challenges during the last few hours.

So, now I’m about to eat a chicken taco and visit some blogs. Then I should probably go to bed and get some sleep, cause I have to get back up at midnight-ish to go back into work. I’ll get hardly any reading done during the next 6 hours, but once I’m at work I’ll have the last 6 hours to read LOTS. But yeah, I need to get some rest for that plan to work.

SO GODDAMN CUTE

Read on, folks!

  1. 431 pages. AWESOME! And great choice in “Something Rotten.” Thursday Next ROCKS and that’s one of my favorite titles in the series. It looks like you may not have time for more reading (or much, at least) but I’d say your readathon was a success. Great job!

    1. Thank you! I really like the Thursday Next books, but I think this ended up being a bad choice so late in the readathon – it requires a bit more focus than I have, lol.

      Thanks for cheerleading!!!

  2. I don’t know what sounds better, the bath or the poppers! I read Holes with my youngest kidlet a while back, great read.

    Everywhere we go
    People want to know
    Who we are
    So we tell them
    We are the readers!
    The mighty, mighty readers!

    I hope you’re having a fantastic Read-a-Thon!

    1. The bath was quite nice, with the wine and all. Reading in the tub is the best.

Holes was so good! I’m wondering if I should get it for my 8-yr old nephew, but I think I might wait another year.

Thank you for cheerleading during the readathon!!!

    1. Ha, yeah I could see how reading in the shower would be a bit more difficult. I hope you get to have a bathtub someday soon! Cause really, I’d hate to be without one. We had a tub in our old apartment that was really old and I hated it, so I never took baths in it. Such a sad year.

  3. Ohhh, the GIFs. Bonus points for managing to get Ayoade in there. I love just saying his name, it’s awesome. AND THE KITTEN! OH, THE KITTEN! How did you like Holes? It was a perfect read-a-thon choice – I read it for a LibraryThing 24-hour read-a-thon a few years ago and it got me beautifully through from about 10pm to somewhere in the region of 4am I think. Not bad for someone who normally drops off by half ten! πŸ˜‰
